Our team

Justin Meredith MRICS
Managing Director

Justin has over 20 years experience in commercial property. Before founding Floodline Developments Ltd he gained his initial experience with major UK property consultancy companies including Cushman Wakefield Healey and Baker, Chesterton International, NAI Fuller Peiser (BNP Paribas). Over the last 5 years prior to setting up Floodline he acted as principle for a private property development and investment company as Group Property Director.

Justin has a thorough understanding of all matters relating to Property Development and Investment to include formulating comprehensive business strategies for Board Approval and financial packaging.

Outside of work Justin pursues his hobbies which include golf and notably sailing, of which he was formerly Commodore of the Chartered Surveyors Sailing Association.

Faruk Pekbeken,

Technical Director

Faruk has over 21 years experience in the water sector including project management, site supervision and engineering design experience on major infrastructure projects throughout the UK and overseas with emphasis on strategic flood risk assessments, sustainable drainage systems, environmental enhancement, water and wastewater engineering, sustainable development and utilities assessment.

Faruk manages multiple projects for private and public sector clients across the industry, planning and delivering sustainable infrastructure, flood protection, water cycle management and dispute resolution. 

Faruk also acts as an expert witness on flooding and drainage matters and advises solicitors and re-insurers on cases relating to flood damage and drainage failures.

Espen Østbye-Strøm
Chief Operating Officer

Espen has for the last decade been one of the pioneers behind the drive to make flood resilient structures a "standardised" product in the UK. He has worked extensively with the mortgage, insurance and warranty industries in developing normal high-street finance packages for flood-resilient homes.

Espen has a unique experience in how to successfully gain planning approval on floodplain and water-spaces by promoting flood resilient and floating technologies.

After graduating with a degree in Economics and Marketing from the Norwegian School of Business, Espen started his career as a banker in Oslo and London before moving into the world of property by helping to set up NGM Sustainable Developments Ltd in 2003.

Pioneering the use of flood resilient structures in the UK, Espen's focus is on the financial and operational aspects of the development opportunities.

Espen has a great expertise in creating and delivering property funds and Joint Ventures as well as equity and debt raising for property and other commercial ventures.
